I was working alone on a jobsite in Weschester County in New York for a company that built custom homes. I forget what I was doing there at the time. The superintendent, Watt Horton, arrived and walked over to me. He said the President had been assassinated, and I thought at first he was going to tell a joke. I asked if it was a hoke, and he said it wasn't and that Kennedy had been shot in Texas. The hair stood up on the back of my neck. I couldn't relate to it. Later on I watched the funeral on a black & white TV. It was all very disturbing and disappointing.
