Do I assume correctly that Cash had been ridden before your wife purchased him?
My sister used to have a horse. It wasn't a very nice one, and almost killed her when he kicked a shovel she was using to muck out his stall.
He shortly there after became glue or dog food, I'm not sure what they do with them down in Australia to get rid of them.
