Luke this morning weighed 62 lbs . Last time he was weighed at the vet he was just under 67 . The vet said he needs to lose some weight . So we altered his amount of daily food and cut back on the treats .
He was doing so well then this popped up . My wife and I have no idea how he did this . But I will say when you throw a ball he runs VERY hard . Harder than any other dog we have owned . So we are guessing that's how he did it .
I have no problem paying 5k as long as it works , we do not want the other leg to do the same . We will follow surgeons advice to the letter . Fortunately we still have a large crate in the basement , that will be coming upstairs for 3 months or so after surgery .
So now we wait for the ortho surgeon to call and go over the game plan . The vet today discovered a heart murmur also , that was another surprise 😮 . They felt it was a 3 out of 6 scale and wouldn't be a concern for the surgery . This really felt like a Monday
