I really don't know why. And it seems just about everyone who moves here is a poor person. NZ is like a single state in the US but we don't have a federal system to fall back on, so we need people with money or who can make money.
I'm sure there are degrees for us people in our sixties The fact that we are smarter
than everyone else must count for something.
