Keep 'em in the dark ... I've burned Ks of 'em .... audio. Never had any degradation, but never exposed 'em to light. But nothing lasts ... tapes for sure .... but ...
Even all the Maxels I recorded in college, and DATs I recorded/traded 25 years were fine ... until I purged it all recently ... tapes and EVERYTHING tape cassette/beta/vhs/DAT/ along with all the hardware and that beloved Windows PC too
