So relative to the original inquiry- yes. Most likely have. Can’t think of exact circumstance, but I’m pretty sure I’ve done it. I do try and avoid when at a customer office or facility.
But here’s my story -
I worked for the same employer for nearly 25 years. First go with them was for just under 15 years, and then I left for a different job - and came back for another 10.
My latest boss, a guy I’ve worked with for all of those 25 and more - is somewhat of an odd personality. Lots of examples of being a not so stellar boss, exec, leader or executive team member.
We had regular “sales meetings”. I think would hit the local bar at the end of the day. The leader and his minions. Not entirely optional to go. He often reminds us (shamed us for) that he NEVER $#!ts at work. Like it’s some personal weakness if you happen to need to do that there. Only one example of living and working with a first class A-hole. Meanwhile, one of the executive team probably spends (conservatively) over an hour a day in the can. If he isn’t in his office - chances are he’s taking a deuce.
Needless to say, mister no-poop canned me earlier this year (not for that), and it’s been lovely not needing to put up with the shyte he consistently dealt. All, while boasting that “in my career, I think I’ve ceapped at work twice - and both times, it was because I was sick. And I went home immediately to clean up”.
Good riddance.
I work with normal people now.
