I like how a lot of coders are bypassing IMMO and other EEPROM hardline systems with free software from github. In theory, it seems pretty simple to modify the data for the specific chips requiring basic software interfaces and/or boot mode the ecm on older FI cars. In the spirit of p-cars, here's a 986 DME bypass route for the IMMO for plug and play Audi engine swaps.
