There is nothing wrong with Rolex. They are extremely well made, high quality, high specification watches that as
MASS PRODUCED. They are making ~1.2 Million watches per year. The pricing at retail is reasonable for the quality. But...Since Covid, there is more demand than watches.
They have about 2,000 Authorized Dealers. On average, each dealer gets 600 watches per year. That is all! If they are open 300 days per year, they can sell 2 watches per day. Two! And some dealers get fewer and some get more. How many people go in per day and want a watch? Dozens.
Vacheron Constantin makes about 60,000 watches per year, but far fewer outlets. And the watches are a lot more expensive. I bought the "cheap" steel diver, VC Overseas 4520v. I will not post the price in case Mrs. Beard

On the other hand, it is a
FANTASTIC watch. The quality is a step way above Rolex.
