Renault are gone as Viry shutdown their F1 program late this year, Alpine will be powered by Mercedes next year
So there will be,
Mercedes powered Alpine
Ferrari powered Cadillac
Honda powered Aston Martin
Done 5yrs of Honda F1 battery design, on old gen battery and new larger 2026 spec battery
Have worked on/in the design of every area of a F1 car (except inside an engine cylinder head or block or tyre)
Battery is easily the most complicated, difficult to design area by far
Consequences of a failure inside a lightweight box full of lightweight high voltage, fragile electronic parts with numerous liquid cooled channels which is all bolted to the chassis just in front of a high vibration ICE and under a many litres of fuel certainly focuses the mind
Would love to help Cadillac as they won't fully understand what they're walking into with the battery but not sure I could take that level of stress/worry for a 3rd time
