The stress engineer that had to review and sign off on all of our hair - brained ideas and designs wherein there was such a requirement was an avid river kayaker. Brilliant man. He retired on a Friday and drowned that Saturday morning on our Skagit River, out celebrating his retirement with his wife in their kayaks.
