Well got the pedal assembly out, just to make sure it was all sorted and tight. I do have a small fluid leak in there (but I've not had to add fluid in my first 14 months of ownership??). The little rubber stop that lets the clutch pedal rest in its forward position was missing. I will get it cleaned up and put back in, and then re-adjust the cable.
Alan, once I get it into gear, I can pop it in and out without any issues. Like its "lined up". And no creeping. Bushings are good (in pedals and linkage). Will make sure the allen head screw is tight as well.
One thing I forgot to mention: when I got the car the clutch pedal return spring was broken and lying under the wood panel in 2 pieces. I replaced it immediately. Not sure if that threw anything off, as I don't recall having the shifting issues that first week... I was too busy just standing in my garage staring at this machine not believing its mine... lol
Thanks guys, back in the garage now...
