I understand what you're going through. We have two dogs. A crate at the boarder isn't good enough, so they share a 5' x 5' "Efficiency suite". I think it is now up to almost $100 / night for the pair. We want to go on a 15 day vacation this spring, that's going to be a big bill. She won't let me turn them loose and get new, better dogs when we get back. I don't have any friends with dogs, maybe she can convince one of her friends to watch them.
