Well, mathematically speaking. But I doubt the 5 YO remembers a lot of detail about <3 years old. You could say AFA conscious thinking that 5 is +-50%.

I think the reason we feel that life is going by quickly is that we tend to condense years into periods, sometimes long periods like raising children or a previous marriage.

The one thing that will make a year seem like a year and maybe then some is to drive a surveyor's stake into 1-3 days a month. Do something significant that is not routine. Going out for a drive in the twisties is not the same as going out with the gruppe on NYD or an organized event. And do too many of those and they in turn become routine.

Birthdays and anniversaries are not going to do it alone.
