Ok, I've been filing off the first lip. I think I'm going back to my first comment that I've heard the 73.5 didn't have these. Or the Porsche one is different.

But after getting off almost all of the first lip, adding a little lube, it fits very well.

At least it is suction. So it shouldn't come out. Hopefully there won't be any backfires, and if there are, that's what the pop off valve is for. But maybe it would be a good idea to add a safety wire to make sure the thing isn't lost by someone who takes it out.
