My buddy's Dad bought a big Lincoln in the 70's. They did a little negotiation and the dealer threw in a Mercury Bobcat for "free" with the sale.
That impressed me that those things were that fat with margin. Crazy.
(And since you didn't ask, I always despised those monstrous 70's Lincolns. Yech!)
