For a variety of reasons.

• We may just need validation that men are still interested in us.
• We fear rejection. If I don't go on the date, I didn't have to get rejected because I'm tall, have an accent, have a speck of money, or don't go to church.
• Again, most guys look kinda nondiscript and similar. Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude.
• For us online is work! It's much easier to sit my ass down at a bar, or just go grocery shopping. Some guy will approach.
• Since men approach us in real life, it's likely we're online fishing just in case some rich, gorgeous, hunk decided he has to meet us.
• Meeting any new guy is scary. I don't think men really understand this one. Try imagining your in lock-up with a bunch of gay linebackers . They're all looking at you like your the last danish left, while trying to fondle your ass and tell you what they want to do with you. It's kinda like that, and it gets old.
