At age 69 I too find the Christmas season to be a time for reflection. Most of my life this has been a time for family and music including traditional Christmas carols, The Boston Philharmonic, and Handel's Messiah. It often takes quite a while for me to make the transition from Thanksgiving with family to proper Christmas spirit but my grandkids nearby help to move me along. No 15*F midnight motorcycle rides but just a quiet time alone with my thoughts in front of the fireplace and the realization that I have been incredibly blessed in this life so far and I am very grateful.
