I first used a fountain pen when I entered the 4th grade after moving to Australia. That's all they wrote with in school then (late 60's.) Not a pencil in sight.
I don't use them very often anymore, got rid of most of my good ones. Too many simpler, cheaper choices out there. And mechanical pencils, love those...
I can write well in cursive when I want but I seldom do, as I can write twice as fast otherwise. My mom had beautiful writing.
