What is cheap liability insurance? USAA seems to go by 3 things first: type, cost to fix and mileage driven. All 3 are subject to zip code and my zip is high risk. I don't carry comp on the Jag and it's still not cheap. Comp would be a joke as $1000 in damage would be a total. Thinking about my '06 1/2 ton as 3K would total that. Why am I insuring 3K? At truck prices it would take over 10K to replace it if I could even find one nearly as nice. They don't see that the way I do.
