It really chaps my ass to this day that, a year ago, a good portion of my neighborhood showed up at my city zoning adjustment hearing to protest my getting my FFL. Yet, plenty of these folks have five cars, living in houses with 2-3 car garages, none of the cars are garaged and there's a constant reshuffling of cars in the driveways and on the street. I'm sure this is all legal per city code, but I'm sure the HOA doesn't allow it. Part of what trips the need for a zoning adjustment is running any kind of home-based business that generates even a single visitor to the home who's not a part of the household. Meanwhile, our vehicles are garaged 100% of the time, I might have a visitor or two per month, who parks in my driveway. But everyone else can have their cars everywhere, as long as they're not running a home-based business.
