I love our current neighborhood. Not one car on the street on a regular basis 90% of the time. Only visitors for a short period, and all residents park in the garage, or in their own driveway. I have never understood storing $150 dollars of crap in the garage, and parking a $50,00+ car in the driveway or on the street.
Our neighborhood covenant that every home buyer has to sign has a clause, single family residents, and no long term parking on the streets. We had one lady that owns a house here, and she got married, and moved into to he husband's house, and turned her house into a rent house. She promptly rented to 4 20 something guys. 4 vehicles, and the garage full of crap, so two cars in the driveway, and two on the street. The HOA sent a letter to the home owner, with a copy of the covenant. She decided to hire an attorney, and sue. The attorney looked at the covenant, and told her, I will take you money and sue, but you will loose. She folded, and evicted the 4 guys, and rented to a nice family, and they fit right in.
