The white cabinet in front of the blue wall has the base board running behind the legs. They may be set forward but the bottom shelf is not. The vertical line in the corner looks odd to me. The whole presentation is stupid.

They could have raised the cabinet maybe 1/2" and got it flush to the wall unless the corner is not square. If you've watched drywall being taped, no corner is 90º 6" out in both directions.

The top does need to sit tight and sealed against the wall to keep water from running behind. A splash makes cleaning easier or you're rubbing against the paint.
