Someone reached out to me about the phone mount I made. He asked what the knob was I used. It is the 17mm (16.8mm measured) knob that comes on the Rennline mount. I was concerned about the knob being too weak if I printed it as part of the mount, as the narrowest part would be under stress and rely on the weaker Z access layer line adhesion for strength. Then it occurred to me to print the knob, but include another 4mm Allen bolt (25mm long this time) with captive nut to put the knob in compression and make it way stronger than it should ever need to be. So here’s the updated mount with knob.
