I guess I'm a fool

I just sold a nice, one of 200, 96 v12 Mercedes on FBM. It was a very well sorted car that actually was my dd, although for me that's like 10k/yr, others in the fleet. If your curious, listing is here https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/861758123232194

My strategy with FBM sales is that if I list something there, I'm willing to accept $$ under market as I hate sales friction. The car in question is likely a 12-15k car if one was willing to wait for the perfect buyer and put up with all of the "well, the sunshade doesn' work" and "the bumper needs a repaint" stuff. There's a perfect low mileage one listed at 45k that'll never sell, and Victor, the youtube mercedes diy guy out of Brooklyn (he does amazing things in his driveway) has his personal car with more miles and less cosmetics listed at 12. I know myself well enough that if I wanted full value the car would sit for a bit and I'd decide to keep it, which would be dumb as the reason its nice is its been garaged since new and I'm out of garage space. So I listed it at 8500.
Of course, I got inundated with responses. I explicitly said in the listing that the price was firm and I wouldn't respond to pokes that merely said "is this available".
Car sold 2nd listing day to a nice collector 2 hrs away who was a complete gentleman.

Now the interesting part. I immediately got a message from one of the "is it available guys" in Md who's all pissed off that I didn't respond to him as "he had a buyer willing to pay 22k" and I "cost myself 8-10k by not responding". Now, I don't feel bad as I reminded him of the listing, and I know in my heart that he wasn't going to give me "8-10k" over my full price, he was mad because he lost the flip.
But it got me thinking...

Am I a fool? Assuming the cash isn't trivial but not a big deal overall, am I just being weak with my "lets move it" sales posture? Is 3-4k enough money that I should endure a couple weeks of answering endless FBM inquiries and a weeks angina of going back and forth about keeping the car? Am I too emotionally invested in buying/selling?

Whaddya think?
