Just noticed you're from Houston. The car came from there, some oilman traded both it and a sister M120 sedan to the local MB dealer. The parts counter guy there bought them in '17 rather than sending them to auction, and his friend in Metairie sold both for 7k each. In retrospect, I should have bought both. I drove the coupe home in a tropical storm that followed us up the east as far as Fort Knox.
Its an incredible car for the $$. As I age out of diy wrenching it becomes somewhat worrisome to keep going, hence the sale. With labor rates being what they are, and parts becoming randomly nla , the complication of a 140 is a "thing". The 123' s are much easier to deal with.
I'll miss it, but not regret it. The e28 m5 I regret...but long ago.
