I use wood ramps aswell. They almost never kick out but I usually use them on blacktop and my concrete is not very smooth. But they arnt slippery like metal or plastic would be.
I am working on my sprite. I never liked how these cars have straight rockers it makes them look cheap and homemade. Mine needed work anyway so I cut them off and making them curve under. Also removed the little kick up at the front hood and put a bit of a kick up at the front of the rocker instead. The hood needs alot of work anyway. Also got the back wire wheel conversion and brakes done. Zero new parts I was able to piece them together from a few other axles I had from 73 midgets so they now have the updated dual piston cylinders.
