A couple of items that I've acquired.

Chaplin patent change

HD Smith winged perfect handle screwdriver (I've got a no 5 and a no 4)

A complete, original North Brothers Yankee 1555 breast drill. It's got 2 speeds and 5 modes that seem like magic.

I also have an old Millers Falls No 97 which is very similar to the Yankee 1555 above

This is what the various modes do.

Yankee modes
Plain – direct drive turn the crank in a direction to turn the spindle in that direction
Left hand ratchet - the crank ratchet in one direction to turn the spindle left
Right hand ratchet - the crank ratchet in one direction to turn the spindle right
Double right ratchet– the crank ratchet in either/both directions to turn the spindle to the right
Lock – locks the crank and spindle

MF modes
Plain – direct drive turn the crank in a direction to turn the spindle in that direction
Left hand ratchet - the crank ratchets in one direction to turn the spindle left
Right hand ratchet - the crank ratchet in one direction to turn the spindle right
Double right ratchet– the crank ratchet in either/both directions to turn the spindle to the right
Double left ratchet– the crank ratchet in either/both directions to turn the spindle to the left.

I want one of these other HD Smith screwdrivers with what I call a "pinch grip". I'll be keeping my eye out in case I run across one that's reasonably priced.
