This is an interesting article along with some video content. It's discussing the R&T "Performance Car of the Year" review/competition that R&T does, but specifically, the behind the scenes support for the vehicles. As you can imagine the Ford GTD was there, and apparently, those guys were busy.

An engineer, a systems diagnostics specialist, and a mechanic tumbled out of an F-250 Super Duty towing a trailer in support of the Ford Mustang GTD. These were all Multimatic folks, not Ford. Of everyone in attendance, these guys had to work the hardest on account of the GTD conking out on its first timed hot lap after the passenger’s-side axle separated from the transaxle, spitting transmission fluid all over the track. The Mustang was quickly towed away and arrived back on the scene as good as new just a few short hours later. Their quick work mending the car saved its bacon in the test, allowing us enough daylight to set a proper lap time.
