I finally got my hands on a new/used Dura Ace 7400 brifter and had a chance to ride my Basso for the first time in I don't know how long. 10 years? More?
It climbs surprisingly well for an 'ancient' 8 speed bike with really heavy wheels, (and an old boy at the wheel) and the fit was a lot more comfortable than I expected, but I'm not sure if I want to do 50 miles and 4000 feet on it. (Those 23's look like o-rings, and the bars are definitely not modern!)
