They have gotten rather proud of batteries and a charger I reckon ... ouch .
Back in the beginning I'd buy a tool that came with a charger and battery. Some tools don't come with batteries now. When that's the case, the price goes way up to buy a tool and charger and batter. I've got 2 of the Milwaukee M12 chargers and 2-3 batteries. I've got 3 Ryobi 18V chargers and batteries. So now if I can buy a tool sans battery, I'll do that to save a buck. I just bought an M12 4Ah battery for my milwaukee stuff because my old batteries were getting OLD and sucking wind.
