So we've got the very real possibility that the 2027 Le Mans 24 Hour will have
no Porsches on the grid - not just in Hypercar but GT as well. I'm not sure that's ever happened in the history of the race. There is limited grid space at every race and WEC gives priority to manufacturers competing in both Hypercar and GT. With Hyundai joining this year and Ford and McLaren next year, Porsche will likely be shut out. Of course there is a remote chance of Porsche dusting off the 963s and competing next year, but probably not.
