They allow for a bunch of auto contacts, so I added my personal email many, many years ago so I wouldn’t miss it. Xcel doesn’t give a lot of notice, maybe an hour or so.
Just one of many parts of the job I don’t miss one bit.

LOL! OK, that certainly reduces any level of "pain" you'd feel to nothing. I suspect if the city starts getting billed for something they shouldn't, they'll get it taken care of (eventually). At work, we have periodic "test of call tree" activity where at any time they may text and call and email our personal contact methods to make sure that they can. It REALLY bugs some folks. It bugs me, but not tons. Fortunately, most of the time it's during time that I'd be awake so no big deal. These days, other than those tests, I very rarely get the on-call type calls, maybe only once per year, thank goodness.
