in a natural disaster or worse. think fellow man will step up and help?
humanity. I am asking about humanity.
the recent anti-freeze shortage thread has me thinking about things. as a society, I am not so sure. hahah.
let me back up. in my first wildfire, my house was in a area that was "suggested" we evacuate. I was packing up and my next door old lady neighbor elected to stay. my wife and I decided we should as well, since I could drag her stubbornass out should we need to. a local grocery store hooked up generators and kept the lights on. free coffee, and free breakfast burritos to the last hold outs. I still shop there despite the higher prices because of the thoughtfulness.
I think things have changed a bit. my bud sent me this from Austin. hahah...people cleaned out the store!! nothing screams "me first" than a run on a grocery store. I can live on soy sauce and rice for a month. or drive away to a safer location and eat at a Denny's. what gives?
do you think when SHTF people will help each other? or lord of the flies?
