Living in So Cal as long as I have, I often wonder how things would/will be if/when the big one hits here. I'm talking a 7-8-9 magnitude quake that takes down most if not all of downtown LA and surrounding area buildings, liquefaction of the area I live in down here in the OC.
I used to think we'd be living in our shed if worse came to worse, if we were to survive. Our e-quake kit out there hasn't been looked at/updated in at least a decade or more.
We don't have any spoons, so keeping what we do have would become problematical because of the have nots that do have them I fear.
I also wonder if the rest of the country would come to our state's aid if such a disaster were to hit.
