We spent about two hours shoveling the driveway off to the point I could get the El Camino out, and back up the hill of our driveway. I could have gotten out anytime, but back up the driveway, and into the garage would have been a real challenge. The 911 is put away until dry roads, so that part of the garage door has a large pile of snow. My wife could get he Macan in and out, but it is clean and likely going to stay inside until the roads are clear.

We did the front sidewalk from the mailbox to the front door as well. The sun is out and it is all the way up to 18 now. The sun is helping a lot to melt off the driveway in the areas we shoveled off.
No great surprise, but you folks up in OK (or north Texas) certainly get more "winter wonderland" than we do in the south. This morning, I dumped 4 or 5 big pots of piping hot water on our outdoor AC unit. The roof had dripped on it, and there was a bunch of ice on the top and fan. I melted the ice off and the fan kicked on right before the last pot. The ice stuck to the blades had the fan running slow and out of balance. The last pot caused the ice to free up and fall off and the fan started running normally.

Why did you shovel? Just in case you end up needing to go somewhere? Because surely, you don't have anywhere that you've got to go for the next 2-3 days. And I'm sure there are no laws or city ordinances that require you to shovel like there are up north.

Are there still critters in the pond (carp, frogs, etc...)? I suspect they are thankful for the hot tub.
