It's a damn good question. I often see older people struggling, or not being able to care for themselves any longer and I think...I don't want to be like that. BUT I also think I'm too young (49) to know whether that's true or not.
When my mom was battling cancer, she told me the chemo was making her miserable and she didn't want to do it anymore. Asked my opinion. I told her my opinion was irrelevant. The choice was hers to make...she stopped the chemo and passed about a month later.
