Sorry to hear Steve - and yes - gotta be very inconvenient!

I have used Muriatic acid with my shallow wells to safely remove mineral deposits.

My pumps though are centrifugal and up on the surface so would probably be different for your submersible pump setup.

If you are working with a well/pump contractor - they will know how to proceed.
