That is the only way I can put it. I was not there, my wife and I were splitting duty since he was in Fairfield, California.
My wife said he thanked her and my daughter, said he was tired and told them how much he loved them.
He died that night. He knew everything was in order and I had the Con.

After watching what her brother went through, my mom was no way, no how going to go through the treatment for cancer, and honestly, she went so quick that I don't think there would have been any point. I would love for my mom to still be around, but I would absolutely NOT have wanted her to suffer through a bunch of horrible treatment. I think she went within 5 weeks of official diagnosis. I was fortunate to be there with her for about a week where she was pretty much her normal self other than being tired. Then she mostly slept for 3 days.
