I've had many Mohs over the last 30 years, luckily never yet had melanoma, usually squamous or basal cell. It is important to keep the dressings lubed with Vaseline or something similar and follow the care instructions. One unappreciated benefit of these surgeries is by pulling the surrounding tissue in to close the area removed the surgeon is "tightening up" the surrounding skin and smooths out some of the wrinkles!
