I was prescribed Lorazepam years ago and used it for a long time intermittently/occasionally as I felt I needed it. I'd take it after I'd had a couple of bad nights. A couple of years ago, Kaiser cancelled my prescription. When I asked my doc why, he said there was a danger of it suppressing my breathing. That's when he prescribed the Trazadone, which doesn't work as well.
