I've had my currency collection for over 30 years and it sat untouched for the last 10 of those.
It consisted of about 150 paper bills....approx 50/50 US and other countries. The US bills were mostly silver certificates and early two dollar bills.
A coin and currency shop opened near me last summer and today I decided to bring it in and find out if it was worth selling. I dropped it off for the guy to appraise and came back an hour later. I had my mind set at not taking any less than $200.
He offered $347....I took it.
I can find a use for that money now.....if I left it on the shelf, it would be of no use to me.
