Well said sir. Binnington was no slouch. I was never any better than a DIII goalie (if D-IV existed I'd have played in that) but I can appreciate what I saw from both keepers.
Hellebuyck's deflection of a shot on the fat part of his stick looked like luck but it was all about getting in the way of the shot any way you can. Likewise Binnington moving laterally just fast enough to get enough of his trap on a rocket to keep it from finding the twine. It may have looked like he missed catching it but it didn't go in.
The 5 Canadians out front may have been better for most of the game but they just couldn't solve Helly.
