When I was at university, a friend of mine, had his dealer license and we would go to the closed to the public dealer auctions. We would buy wrecked, repossessed, turn ins, etc. I bought a 1984 911 for my brother. Next week I was talking to some guy and he said he bid against me to raise it up. What a jackass.

You could easily have people driving up prices online, I bet it happens frequently on all the sites. Even just getting a buddy to bid would be a way to game the system.
