Here is her super stealthy, all-black steed.
Surprisingly, she asked - "Why isn't there a "Specialized" decal on the downtube?"
And honestly - I'm really not sure. Seems like they have downplayed their brand recently.
As for setup, etc...
She already asked for her bars to be narrowed. So - yep, I cut those suckers down.
Installed her "Ergo" grips, along with a super cool bell. Of course, her regular SPD pedals.
And as a nod to being old, traditional bikers - put some O.G. American Classic cages on.
It came with a rear triangle mounted kickstand, and she likes to keep that. (It's almost painful for me to leave it on, but it beats a scratched up frame)
Only thing I'd like to upgrade is the crank/BB. They seem to have cheaped out on that part of the spec. I could see this happening over next winter. And maybe a little better shifter. And the tires are kind of heavy for my liking, but I think they'll prove to be durable.
