I dated a girl who was at the time living in Missouri and we spent a July 4th weekend at a wilderness resort in Branson.
Really enjoyed it.

Afterwards we traveled to Arkansas to visit Eureka Springs and stayed at the Crescent Hotel overnight. That was cool....
Missouri is a huge state and there's a lot to see. I came away impressed with my visits there, including Branson.
Travel is what you make of it......
