I have a Cal Car cover from the namesake company. There are a couple other cover companies that sound like California Car Cover but this is the one in Simi valley, CA. The cover I bought is called Superweave. It is rumored that Cal Car Cover does not make covers in house. In fact I'm dealing with them over a warrantee issue so well known to them they have a name for it — snowing. It leaves a sticky gray dust on your paint after a year. They have had to replace a lot of these but keep selling them. My cover is in semi shade between 2 buildings, not out in full sun with nothing around it.
The CS guy told me that the warrantee pics I sent have to be approved for replacement by "the manufacturer. They said they would replace it. That was February 2 and no cover. Email last week on Tuesday as to where my replace is in the system has not been replied to yet. They just ghosted me.
My last cover from a custom company back East lasted 6 years or more. They got out of the business and sell other products now. They did my Boxster cover too in bright red and it was pretty good. Faded a bit but the cover went with the car, it was that nice after a few years, all indoor.
One and done with CCC company. Since Pelican sells car covers, this thread is in poor taste, but I'm pointing out that maybe you should skip CCC and go with Pelican. Or ask somewhere else as polite person would have done in the first place.
Here's my post on the purchase from one of the above linked threads. Not a fan at all.
