I just moved into an apartment. I knew it had PTAC units which aren’t my favorite, specifically Model No. PTH093G25AXXXGA
I pay for electric so I’m looking to be efficient in their use. This is the control panel.
I’ve researched and I know my options are limited, but I am looking to see if I can install an external thermostat with at least a few programmable options, such as an occupied and unoccupied mode that I can schedule.
I really don’t want to run surface mounted wiring, nor do I want to be cutting up walls and fishing wires to an appropriate location for a thermostat.
Does anyone know of a stable and affordable wireless option? I believe I will need to install a wireless transmitter as this model does not have that cap capability built-in. But I have two of these and don’t want to spend a fortune on something. I may only be in for 15 months.
