My father passed on April 18th at 2pm on the dot (yes... we checked.) with my Mother, my Brother and myself surrounding him. It was one of the most profound and beautiful experiences of our lives.
I have sincerely enjoyed reading all of your posts and pulling from the archive. For those that did not meet him, he was the same exact person online and was larger than life. For me personally, cars were something we loved to share. I have so many amazing memories in the 911s, the v8 4Runner that I hit 120mph on I95 in from Matt, rolling out of the 356 when I got it stuck driving it into our barn on an incline, and so many more. Thank you all for your many years of friendship for my Dad, this was such a happy place for him. The Land Cruiser is moving into my possession, which I am greatly looking forward to continue to restore and will most likely need some advice on... if only there was a group of incredible auto enthusiasts I could turn to
Please, and we really mean it - keep the Christmas swap going. Rick can get ahold of me if if it lives on and I somehow miss it but we will participate. We love everything you all have shared, please continue if it feels right!
