I am so sorry for your loss. I never met him personally, but he was always there with good advice when I had questions about my son's military career and once offered to help with the transport of my 911 when I bought it back from the guy I sold it to in Philly. I live in Spokane WA, roughly 3,000 miles. He said, let me drive it part way and meet you somewhere to make your trip shorter. I regret not taking him up on the offer.
