Among other things, Ted was always an ace pussy hound. I remember a story from back in the early days of CNN when Ted was looking at a gaggle of cheerleaders or something and he said,
"I know just what they need and I'm just the guy to give it to them!" 
RIP, Ted. Love him or not, he was a uniquely American character.
